The community, education and heritage activities promote the precious historic landscape, heritage rides and provide new opportunities for communities to engage and participate.The original Trust was set up in 1916. The trusts main objectives are to provide charitable purposes for the benefit of people resident, but not exclusively, in Kettering and its neighbourhood, in particular the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare to improve the conditions of life of the users of such facilities.Job DescriptionThe Head of Operations in Kettering will;Ensure the park's guests have an excellent experience in the Park and that the appearance of the Park's delivery area is maintained at the highest level.Ensure all rides and attractions are open, functioning and attractive when the park is open.Ensure all rides and attractions are fully staffed when the park is open.In conjunction with the board devise and implement a ride replacement plan to ensure the park's ride stock remains fresh and attractive to guestsEnsure the guest experience in retail, animals catering, events and entertainment is optimised.Drive growth in annual visitor numbers.Develop and take ownership of a rolling programme of updates to the Park's rides and attractions including the submission of business cases to the Board and Trust.Managing a large workforce during high season (250+) and ensuring labour costs are kept within budget.Working closely with the Health & Safety to ensure guest and staff safety in the park.Work closely with other departments to create, implement, and update attraction training documents such as Attraction Manuals, Attraction tests, audits, and certification.Develop and revise existing standard operating procedures, emergency action plans, and evacuation procedures.Develop and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures throughout the business.Designing new processes to improve quality or increase productivity and profitabilityThe Successful ApplicantThe Head of Operations in Kettering will possess;Minimum five (5) years Operations management experience in visitor attractions; preferably in a theme park environment.Management/Leadership qualification e.g. CMI or similarMust be able to work varied shifts, including bank holidays and weekends.Strong analytical skills, data driven and able to use data to influence, challenge and drive performance and compliance.Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of employees and management.A flexible communication style and keen eye for detail and ideally will come from a similarly fast paced environment.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.A good understanding of our Key KPI's and already have ideas of how you could improve our performance and drive customer excellence.Strong customer service skillsProject management skills essential (Prince 2 nice to have but not essential)Proven track record of team leadershipWhat's on OfferThe Head of Operations in Kettering dictates a competitive salary of up to 85K + Package.ContactAdam McLaughlinQuote job refJN-072023-6108337Phone number+44 121 230 9476Job summaryJob functionHospitality & LeisureSubsectorOperations & Field ManagementSectorLeisure, Travel & TourismLocationKetteringContract typePermanentConsultant nameAdam McLaughlinConsultant phone+44 121 230 9476Job referenceJN-072023-6108337
