This company is one of the UK's largest renewable energy power plants, and are a value-led business that dominate a really niche market.

Job Description

    • Monitoring executed trades to ensure they comply with the authorisations and limits defined in the CRMP Schedules.
    • Maintaining, reviewing, interpreting, and modifying CRMPs to keep them aligned to latest trading activity and Board risk appetite.
    • Creating reports for the Risk Committees, and Board to inform them of our commodity, counterparty and price exposures.

The Successful Applicant

  • High degree of numeracy with ability to understand, analyse, and present information (preferably degree level in numerate discipline).
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of commodity market fundamentals and interaction, and the commercial background to DPL market activities.
  • Capable of modelling the commodity markets and financial position of open trades, with an understanding of the appropriateness of limits and business processes.
  • Able to clearly communicate (written and verbal) complicated data and results to both trading and non-trading teams.
  • Social/influencing skills to work with Production Departments, and other non-trading teams.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organisation.
  • High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Self-starter, with enthusiasm to build understanding of interactions of the suite of commodities.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
