Job Description



The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Analysing business methods and ensuring that the operations are following all employment laws, and best practices.
  • Working alongside the EH&S Manager by providing education, coaching and advice to employees to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are achieved.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality performance are achieved and the right first-time principle is continuing within the Operation.
  • Ensuring adherence to all systems and procedures including ISO and also adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Working alongside the EH&S Manager in being responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace with appropriate written control procedures for all activities.
  • Working as part of the senior Operations team, identifying and implementing improvements in processes to ensure ongoing operational improvements.
  • Providing leadership to all employees entrusted to you to ensure that levels of knowledge and capability continually improve.
  • Managing all employee and business process compliance activity for operations.
  • Developing internal controls and policies designed to ensure that all compliance needs are met.
  • Working closely with department managers to review all departmental policies for compliance issues, Such as IS09001 and ISO14001.
  • Controlling and managing the Risk Assessment process for operational activities.
  • Completing and managing the internal audit process.
  • Assessing product, compliance, or operational risks and developing risk management strategies.
  • Conducting environmental audits with the EH&S function to ensure adherence to environmental standards.

The Successful Applicant

Applicants should be:

  • Experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Competent and knowledgeable in quality control and Internal auditing
  • Experienced in Risk Assessment.
  • Strong communicators, comfortable with interacting with all levels of employees. suppliers, and customers.
  • Proactive with a positive attitude to H&S activities
  • Knowledgeable on ISO 9001 and 14001.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office software.
  • Aware of current regulations affecting manufacturing companies.

Salary and Benefits

  • Working hours are 38 hours per week
  • Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
  • 25 days holiday per annum plus UK Public Holidays.
