Job Description

    • Execute change, re-prioritise as necessary, and ensure on-time delivery.
    • Oversee and coordinate dependencies across initiatives in the portfolio, resolving conflicts, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvements the business.
    • Handle chases, escalations, and fast tracks for urgent projects, ensuring appropriate allocation of effort and resources for timely delivery.
    • Provide project management for various IT topics, ensuring successful project delivery while managing risks, budgets, approvals, and quality gates.
    • Support effective release management for IT systems, coordinating activities, testing, and implementation while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to change management processes.
    • Utilise innovative thinking to identify process improvements and optimise the IT journey.
    • Focus on simplification and standardisation of the IT estate to maximise transformation opportunities and achieve lean IT environment and cost efficiency's.
    • Manage and coordinate supplier activities, track performance and costs, and ensure successful delivery of changes by third-party companies.
    • Facilitate collaboration among IT team members, ensuring awareness of project statuses and involving experts from different areas in design and support processes.
    • Provide comprehensive reporting on live projects and pipeline, ensuring visibility of deliverables, resource requirements, and proactive communication.



The Successful Applicant

    • Proven experience as an IT Portfolio Manager / IT PMO Manager
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, portfolio management principles, and IT governance.
    • Proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
    • Ability to prioritise projects, manage dependencies, and reprioritise as needed to align with business objectives.
    • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within the IT portfolio.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders.
    • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
