We've listened carefully to what matters most to our clients over the years, and included this in our client promise, which sums up the way we work and what you can expect on becoming a Richardson Swift client.'We talk your language''We go the extra mile''We care about your business''We wont let you down'Job DescriptionReview and completion of year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies for a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, liaising with the client adviser/director where required to ensure successful completion.Review of monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns for clients using a varied array of client software such as Sage, Kashflow and Xero.Assist clients with queries on bookkeeping and accounting systems.Work closely with the Client Advisers on client projects to include forecasting, systems reviews and implementation of new systems.Liase with tax teams to ensure tax work is completed to timescale.Advise the Client Advisers of any potential issues, risks and opportunities arising as part of the accounts preparation process. Also, flag any potential overruns or extra fees required on assignments in respect of accounts preparation.To provide support and guidance to other members of the team, providing answers to other team members on processes and technical issues.To maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses and to fulfil any development or training requirementsHelp with on the job training and guidance of traineesWork with the Accounts Department to ensure clients' expectations are managed and statutory deadlines are met.The Successful ApplicantMinimum of three years experience of accounts preparation within an accountancy practice environmentPreferably ACA/ACCA qualified although 'qualified by experience' will be consideredExcellent communication skills both internally and dealing with clientsGood knowledge of computerised accounting systems, to include Xero and IRIS (preferably)Ability to work well in a team in addition to being self-motivating and able to work independentlyWhat's on OfferCompetitive base salary commensurate of experienceAnnual salary review25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysHours 37.5 per week full timeLife Assurance (3x Salary)Personal Pension, Employer 3%, Employee 5%Learning and development and training opportunitiesFlexible working hours and hybrid working as required.Clear progression routes through the firm where learning and development is of the highest priorityAll applications sent directly to Richardson Swift will be managed by Callum Panton at Michael Page.
