Job Description

The key requirements for this Head of Finance role based close to Preston with a flexible working policy will be as follows:



- Lead the direction of our Finance function and make a real commercial difference

- Working alongside the Managing Partner and Finance Partner this role will take ownership over all financial and risk management activities of the organisation

- A diverse role, adding value across the strategic decision-making process, you would lead the finance function whilst remaining accountable for maintaining accurate financial records. You would report on financial risk and ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met.

- You would have initial accountability for 3 direct reports plus a Finance Team of 5 who take care of the day to day transactional requirements of the Finance function

- Focused on making a commercial difference by getting involved in challenging key performance indicators across the firm and looking for opportunities to improve the bottom line

- Drive forward projects to implement a new accounting system and enhance MI reporting to meet the needs of our fast growing business.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this Head of Finance position will be:

  • An individual with a proven track record of leading a finance function within the professional services sector
  • A qualified finance professional with strong technical skills
  • Experience in a regulatory environment
  • You will have the ability to develop processes and systems.
  • A strategic mindset and be able to communicate and influence others effectively
  • An experienced individual with a commercial finance mindset
  • A strong team leader
