Job Description

The Operational Excellence Manager is a key hire for our client as they seek to develop and deliver a new operational excellence strategy. Along with a team of specialists in this area, the Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of this portfolio of activity across the organisation. This role is about driving a culture of continuous improvement.

The Operational Excellence Manager will work with all operational areas of the business to ensure that the right skills are in place as they look to deliver effective process redesign as well as drive efficiency, quality and best practice. They will work with a range of stakeholders to ensure that there is a consistency of approach and that teams see the benefit and value of driving forward a programme of change and continuous improvement. They will support this culture shift throughout through training, coaching and delivery of CI initiatives.

The Operational Excellence Manager will be accountable for the successful delivery of the operational excellence strategy by building operational excellence / process improvement capability internally, ensuring effective process mapping and ownership as well as establishing rigorous governance and compliance standards, consistency, measurement and improvement.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent preferred;
  • Proven Business Process Management and Continuous Improvement experience, from strategy development to delivery;
  • Utilities or Telco experience desirable;
  • Extensive leadership and people management skills;
  • Proven stakeholder and influencing skills at all levels of an organisation;
  • Experience of building and mobilising a high performing team;
  • Strong track record and experience in managing large scale, complex transformation programmes through a range of delivery modes;
  • Demonstrable experience of successful collaborative relations to achieve area and business objectives.
