Led by an inspirational IT Director, they want to build one of the best teams in the North West and you will develop and lead that SAP team as well as contribute to a global rollout of SAP s/4

Job Description

  • Full responsibility for the operation of SAP globally including: policies, application support disaster recovery, RISE, Enterprise Threat Detection, updates and upgrades
  • Evaluating user needs and system functionality, to ensure that SAP applications remain fit for purpose.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of SAP systems and applications availability to agreed internal and external SLAs
  • Ensure business process documentation is maintained and that change management policies are adhered to
  • Management of assigned partners and evaluation of performance
  • Scheduling SAP software updates and upgrades
  • Software asset management ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to and reportable within the defined application
  • Managing 'crisis' situations, which may include complex hardware or software problems
  • Provide direction and in particular drive forward new and existing SAP "Business as usual" projects
  • Ability to work to very short timescales and deliver complex projects
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems and be fully hands-on
  • Participate in the global IT steering committee
  • Integration of new acquisitions into corporate IT applications

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the role of Global SAP Applications Manager you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record in leading a SAP application function through significant growth, change and implementation Track record of building out a SAP support function/ CoE
  • Excellent and proven technical skills across SAP technologies
  • Understanding of how SAP applications integrate with each other and with the wider eco-system
  • Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to communicate with non technical functions and external resource

What's on Offer

The SAP applications Manager will be North West based with some global travel as and when required.
