Job Description

  • Fulfil the requirements of the Regional Financial Manager
  • Develop a strong working relationship within the Finance team and key business stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and strong management to the local Finance team.
  • Preparing accurate work which conforms to finance best practices.
  • Maintain the Integrity of the financial information reported.
  • Ensuing all deadlines are met (both internal and external)
  • Bring to light any concerns or red flags within Finance as soon as discovered.



Month End

  • Manage the month and year end financial account closures and related reporting for the designated Station(s).
  • Ensure all accounting tasks are completed by the deadlines set.
  • Review and approved general ledger reconciliations.
  • Conduct detailed analysis over account balances and investigate discrepancies to budget / forecast.
  • Prepare station MIS and MBR reports for submission to Group.
  • Through review of projects and various cost elements i.e. Committed cost, LTD cost, YTD cost, Month cost and cost to complete.
  • Identify the onerous contracts and provide requisite provisioning
  • Coordinate with project manager and evaluate the project progress on periodic basis.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in a projects or contractor business.
  • Has managed a Finance team or department previously.
  • Is comfortable providing team performance reviews and experience progressing team members.
  • Strong ability to review existing processes and controls and make improvements where required.
  • Can develop new processes and controls consistent with industry best practices where required.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite Excel with ability to create concise, efficient, and accurate models.
  • Hands on experience with financial and statistical software.
  • Familiarity of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP).
  • Up to date with accounting standards and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking skills.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • History of developing strong working relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Financial qualification (i.e., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or any other relevant certification which is internationally recognised.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
